| Hi Talkin' Broadway Members, I'm thinking about seeing this later in the month and wondered what people here think of the play? Thanks! Playmagic |

| Only for Anna Chlumsky fans. Otherwise, not recommended. A slight play that meanders for 95 mins. Interesting set-up and a few good ideas, but it doesn't go anywhere meaningful. It doesn't know what it wants to be. All diversions and loose ends. |

| I have to agree. The first tens minutes were great fun and in the next scene it all fell apart! | |

| I saw the 4th preview. Becky Ann Baker has one really good scene but the playwright does not know how to pull his play together, and he resorts to some sort-of ridiculous plot devices at the end. I didn't think Anna Chlumsky was that great--she seemed sort of the same tone all night long, but part of the fault was also the playwright's--they referred to her huge debt, and her Jewishness, several times but neither one seemed to be at all a part of that character's personality. So, good concept, all over the place. Also I liked Stephen Park, as the Chinese father, very much. | |
