| Recently there was a thread with the above title, but I am restarting it just to make it more currant (actually don't know if I can do that). I would love to hear more about everyone's ideas of their perfect future Dolly, because I have my own AND it is not a "star". While probably not the greatest box office draw for tourists , maybe with the strength and reputation of the production, it could work. I don't think she has ever had a "starring" role on Broadway, but I think she would make a great Dolly. I am talking about Mary Testa, who is great performer and comic actress, and she can sing. Thoughts, anyone? AND don't knock me for being naive about the box office. I would just like to see her in it. |
