| Sometimes it is well to remember that actors are not dogs at the Westminster Dog Show. Midler does not make her choices based on camera crews, or gossips. She does not seem like someone inclined to reciting banalities (in fact she has made a pretty penny making fun of people who do), and I can't imagine what she would have said that would not have been banal. |
