| I'd be much more excited to see that, and it seems like a better, clearer and stronger way to expose people to him and push his legacy and the memory of his work... and help give it future life with high profile NYC presentations. Though I love Songs For A New World, for the most part, as a collection of songs, I'm not sure I'd get much out of hearing a new cast sing it right now. It certainly doesn't strike me as very exciting. |

| Because, as well liked and admired as Michael was within the theatrical community, his shows have no commercial appeal and wouldn't sell more than the first few rows in City Center. | |

| Exactly. I don't see why any of the shows, save maybe SFANW, would be expected to sell any better. And if they were Michael's shows then at least they'd have a specific appeal right now and a clear tie to the vision of the season - if they are going to not sell a lot of tickets to 3 shows in the name of honoring a composer, they might as well be 3 of those composer's shows! | |
