| I was surprised it looked better than I expected it to be, but where did "Grandma" come from? She wasn't at the wedding that was going to take place in the original. Also, Meryl's part in the sequel sounds like it's just a cameo from what she's said. | |

| It's mostly a prequel, right? So younger actors play the main characters (and hopefully sing better :)) for the most part and the original actors appear less (as will Cher - unless she appears in the prequel part as the mother!). | |

| I've read that Cher plays Meryl's mother. In her brief appearance in the trailer, it appears that she is in a scene with Amanda Seyfried and Dominic Cooper (Sky), who are not in the prequel parts. It also looks like there's a lot in there from the original movie. Lily James is shown as pregnant in one clip, so the prequel likely isn't too much before the original. Isn't Sophie only 20 when the wedding is to take place in Mamma Mia!? It's a little confusing. | |
