Well, I wouldn't call it a lavish production, but it doesn't look cheap. I took a peek at the Asolo website and saw a video that shows
the set and some of the costumes - definitely bigger deal than SpeakEasy. However, they probably saved some bucks by double
casting and using 18 rather than 26 actors, but they have many of the finest Boston actors, including some with impressive
Shakespeare cred. Look at the SpeakEasy website for production photos, if you're interested. The show is getting very
positive reviews. Also, you'd probably be pleased with the artistic growth of the company since their early days. |
