Now, an all-star cast will celebrate their first collaboration, the delightful and rarely heard A Pound In Your Pocket. Based on the classic Charles Dickens novel The Old Curiosity Shop, the comedic musical centers around Dick Swiveller, a congenial, boozy, soon-to-be-heir to a family fortune. With a delectable score that launched Strouse and Adams’ legendary career and an all-star cast, A Pound in Your Pocket is sure to be considered a newly-discovered classic to warm your hearts this winter. EVE MARIE SHAHOIAN, JANUARY 26 AT 9:30PM: Eve Marie Shahoian makes her solo debut at Feinstein’s/54 Below! Eve Marie is a former NBC Tonight Show soloist, also known for notable appearances with John Davidson and Liberace. She has been seen on NBC’s That’s Incredible and made multiple appearances on CBS and ABC. Eve Marie was also a featured Singer World Wide on Delta Airlines, and a Billboard recipient for Outstanding Original Song. Eve Marie returns to NYC after a recent West Coast tour that included Feinstein’s in San Francisco. She’ll be showcasing original music from her newly released EP Believe that is up for consideration at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards in the Best New Artist and Pop Performance Categories! New York City’s legendary music director and composer Bette Sussman will be on piano. Her credits include being a regular pianist on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and David Letterman, and tours with Bette Midler and the late Whitney Houston. Joined by Lorenza Ponce on violin, Lee Nadel on bass, and Doug Yowell on drums, Eve Marie brings to Feinstein’s/54 Below an electrifying, toe-tapping show featuring original music, jazz standards, and favorites from the Great American Songbook. But as his junior year ends, he abuses drugs prescribed earlier in his life, isolates himself from his classmates, and creates chaos for his peers. Simone (Broadway Stands Up For Freedom/NYMF’s Women of Note) makes her Feinstein’s/54 Below debut in The Songs of Simone Allen. Simone presents a night of original singer/songwriter material as well as songs from her current musical theater project, Underground. Her unique sound draws from jazz, pop, rock, folk, and musical theater. She has received praise for her “deep and varied collection of work” and her “natural fantastic melodic sensibility.” She will be joined by special guest singers Joel Perez (Fun Home, Oedipus El Rey), Grace Oberhofer (A Doll’s House: the Opera), Ed Rosini (TRUFFLES: Jazz, Murder, and Dinner Theatre), and Mayelyn Perdomo (Public Works’ As You Like It) and her band: Magda Kress (bass), Chris Anselmo (guitar), and Dan Berkery (drums) with Simone on piano and vocals.
