| To be clear, I did not say (and thus cannot be right or wrong about it) that enthusiasm will/has collapse[d]. What I said is that we don't know yet. At the time I wrote that, someone had told me that sales for BP were soft. (I did not verify that by looking at availability or otherwise and that can change on a dime.) I do think it is highly likely that the show will do well on the road unless they totally screw up the casting. I also think we love to get a bit ahead of ourselves and to do fantasy casting, and while I don't, I do participate in fantasy baseball, and I do think the business of theatre is akin to a sport, so I am not really in any position to say too much. Now setting that aside, why has no one mentioned Nathan Lane.? :-) |
