| Caught the final performance yesterday afternoon. The play has some funny moments—mostly physical business between Laura Benanti and Amy Schumer—but overall its humor is so-so at best. Keegan-Michael Key, Jeremy Shamos and the ladies give it their all, but Schumer’s lack of stage experience often shows. No special speeches at curtain call, but Schumer had tears in her eyes, at least a sweet way to cap her B’way debut. |
