| Her big song at the end, "Hearts Not Diamonds" is actually pretty good, considering the Tim Rice lyrics are at times pretty laughable and the whole number does have just a whiff of camp to it (when the chorus boys join in). The really odd moment is in the abovementioned rehearsal scene, where at one point in the number, Bacall intones, rather drolly, the phrase "hot love baby tonight." Priceless. |
