Will a generation that never experienced the fearful, secretive nature of gay life in the 50's and 60's identify with the party boys of "The Boys in the Band"?
Probably not.
But they'll find an exchange between the party's host and an early arrival (because of a canceled appointment), ironically prophetic:
Michael: "Why'd the [expletive] cancel?"
Donald: "A virus or something. He looked awful." |
