So unless he was a child progedy of Mozart level, the earliest would be early to mid90s for Broadway. Has there ever been a teenager playwright on Broadway?
I still think McNally has had more new shows produced even since 2000 especially considering the inclusion of off Broadway plays that have had regional productions like some men and others. McNally certainly has made more money than any playwrights discussed since several musicals played for years even if the weekly royalty percentage was lower than a play. But even new plays, I count 6 offBroadway (including fire and ice in previews now) and 2 Broadway (deuce, mothers and sons). |
