I have to say I think Metcalf is far more deserving of the win for her performance and the role she's playing. Janney is playing a caricature-ish woman, who seems to have been that way in real life, but I don't think the role required the same kind of nuance as Metcalf's.
And on a less relevant level, I also think Metcalf needs it more, so she can have the career in film she deserves. I don't think Janney has as much issue getting good film work. |
