| Frantically writing his plays as his manifesto. West end seems to embrace plays more than Broadway. So I wonder if Martin was american, would he have had such success. I think behanding in Spokane was the only Broadway first production of his. The rest were London transfers or offBroadway productions (like lieutenant of inishmore) after London production. London seems to have a stronger development for new plays. |
