| Yes, it's dated - it was written half a century ago. And yes, it's kinda stagey - but some of us enjoy that sort of staginess. The characters are self-hating neurotics, but plays tend not to be written about happy people. And I find the neurotics of Boys in the Band, especially the entrancing Harold, much easier to identify with than, say, the gorgeous male models of Call Me By Your Name. |
