| Because this is the time we live in. I'm not saying I disagree... but we already have a film largely about a hispanic experience in America, and a love story from a racial clash, that was written and directed and filmed by white people. So if they are REMAKING it I think that many, especially in entertainment, and in the large hispanic community who might be desperate for a movie like this to be made or remade, would have hoped that at least one of the two major major creative contributors to the remake (or adaptation), the writer or the director, would be bringing their hispanic roots or authenticity to it, or at the very least to give huge profile work to someone who represents half of the characters in the movie. | |
