What is disturbing is that there are no new allegations. They knew what Allen was accused of when they put the show in their season, and did not care. Now suddenly they do. This cynicism feigning moral outrage.
Just like the Alley and Long Wharf boards were long aware of their artistic directors' activities, but then suddenly found them no longer tolerable.
They all get credit for a moral high ground when it is merely cynical calculation. |
