| Ah well, different opinions. As a friend used to say, that's why they make vanilla and chocolate. I think Dustin gave a brilliant performance in Tootsie, much better than his performance in Death of A Salesman, which I saw. I found him utterly convincing as a woman. As far as I know, the general opinion of people who see a lot of movies is that this was one of his best performances ever. I don't know that his Willie Loman elicited that kind of acclaim, certainly not from me - though I found that Mr. Hoffman, a fine actor, did far more in the role than "playing old." |
