Absolutely not. Again, it doesn't matter to me how "old" they are... if they were written specifically for Follies, which this is a film of, and they have not previously been in a film of Follies and eligible for film awards, then 100% I think they should eligible.
Just as I think Assassins and Hedwig, etc, should have been eligible for Best Score at the Tonys in the year their first Broadway productions opened. |
