| Well, personal opinions aside, it is not an award for the movie people will most want to watch a second time or more... it's an award for exceptional ability in storytelling and filmmaking. I don't think most who saw Ghandi would say it was not an example of that, whether they'd ever want to watch it again for pure enjoyment or not. I honestly have only seen it once and don't remember my feelings on its greatness as a movie, however I would also have voted for Ben Kingsley over Hoffman that year. |
