Frankly, ANY Best Picture nominee would've been a more deserving winner. I was rooting for ''E.T.'' and it's a modern classic.
The others, ''Missing,'' ''Tootsie'' and ''The Verdict,'' would've been deserving. (Also, I loved ''Diner'' that year. )
But NOBODY watches ''Gandhi'' anymore. I think the Oscar voters thought they were voting for the Nobel Peace Prize instead. ;) |
