| I agree also. Cusati-Moyer did not display any of the passion which would be necessary to this portrayal of Nijinsky. (For that matter neither did Hodge) Additionally, Cusati-Moyer is not a dancer and this was painfully evident in the scene at the barre when he and Johnson warm up. Even though there is no real dancing in the piece, It was evident in Cusati-Moyer's carriage and posture. Armstrong on the other hand used his body and grace as well as his other acting talents to make the most of every line, movement and moment on the stage. I adored Mazzie and Mason and felt Glover was very good. The play is witty and has depth but deserves a better production than this. |
