The smartest thing A Bronx Tale producers did was to take a theater that no one wanted, it gave them breathing room to gross just enough to cover costs and throw investors a few pennies each week. I am sure if they were playing in prime real estate they would have gotten pressure to close by now. Depending on their weekly running costs they could either be close to or very far from recouping. Based on BW Grosses they have averaged around $800,000.00 a week. Their weekly running costs have to be somewhere between $650k and $750k so they could be profiting in the $100k range a week on average. That would take them to the $6M profit area against a $10M budget. If they can keep that average going and using my hypothetical numbers it would take them another 41 weeks to break even. Plus or minus. Or maybe the tour's start will coincide with the B'Way closing so the road show can lease the Broadway sets and costumes giving the Bway investors some additional return from the tour. Ok that was enough Broadway dork for the month.
