| Let me start by saying I’ve never cared for the movie. Last night however was a dancers dream come true. With all that gorgeous music and dancing who could not be entertained? I forgive the clunky book. The sets were truly original. I loved the use of projections. The talent on stage was readily welcomed and appreciated by the audience. So often all the talk among the people is about what we did last week or going to do, but people this time were talking about the ballet and dancing, the talent, the orchestra (14 pieces for a tour!) and sets and music and it all was a treat. Almost like being in NYC again. Left the theater floating on air and humming Liza. It deserved all the Tonys it won. |
