I usually like to listen at least once before seeing a show although usually it’s over and over if I like the score. Only one time did I put the cd back on the shelf and that was for Secret Garden. It was so beautiful and overwhelming at the outset that I stopped in the middle and waited to see the show (we already had tickets) to let it wash over me for the fresh experience.
I’m glad I never bought Fun Home, not my taste. I found Violet dissapointing although I LOVE the score to Shrek, a guilty pleasure. |
