Thanks for the link to that documentary, Michael. It looks interesting and I will check it out.
The costs to restore a full length color film can run upwards of half a million dollars, so if I had to make a wager, I'd bet they just restored that one number for the documentary, though in the grand scheme of what Frank Loesser's estate must be valued at, I would think the family could afford to preserve the film if they thought it a valuable piece of his legacy. I doubt Warner Brothers would foot the bill for it. |
