Well, IBDB is the League and the League defines what is and is not Broadway. And so the official source says it is Broadway. The whole "designation" thing is misleading prior to [some year] because it basically did not exist. There are a boatload of theatres listed and widely regarded as having hosted Broadway shows that do not satisfy any of the presently-understood criteria.
