... once you put a DVD in, your computer may "lock" the region. So if the first DVD you play is region 2 or region 4, you may only be able to play DVDs from that region going forward. Similarly, if you've already played US DVDs (region 1), that may now be all you can play.
Region-free (or region-unlockable) DVD players, however, are relatively cheap ($35 or $40). |
