| Just for clarification, "I Can't Sit Down" ends Act II, Scene I as everyone heads out to the picnic on Kittiwah Island. After this chorus is a little scene between Porgy and Bess where he tells her he wants her to go to the picnic and the scene ends with their tearful goodbye. The chorus is scored for the orchestra, an on stage band with kids among the residents of Catfish Row. |
