Perhaps the Met will recruit in the future solely from a seminary, with candidates pure in act and thought.

But first they need to cleanse it of entartete künstler. And good look surgically removing Eros from show business.

To add to what others have said, I agree that it's a workplace and there is appropriate and inappropriate behavior but the MET (and other US institutions for that matter) don't seem to have a protocol for dealing with sexual misconduct. That means that private and governmental institutions are operating without transparency like little fiefdoms with their own dungeons; unless the accused or the accuser has enough money to sue in court and the process is aired in public.

The comments section from the slippedisc.com link is fascinating with Samuel Ramey, David McVicar and others criticisng Copley's firing by MET General Manager, Peter Gelb.
