A similar thing happened to me a year or two ago. I investigated and they kept on saying to give it a day. Eventually, someone at TM mentioned that it must be because their system had identified me as a bot and I was locked out. The rep had no advice for resolving this.
I tried different browsers and rebooting my modem router. I suspect that my provider's DHCP server simply reassigns the same IP address (and would probably not reissue it to someone else until I was disconnected for a day or more - which was no-go for me)
Because I get my home access from a different company (Comcast Xfinity) than my mobile provider (Verizon) I was able to get by by tethering to my phone when going to TM. A pain, but it was a workaround.
A few months ago, I swapped modems. Because the modem had a different MAC (ethernet hardware ID) I got a new IP address and the problem went away. |
