| 100% agreed! (Although I do love both Hamilton and Assassins unreservedly). I think Tesori is simply so unbelievably underrated (even with a Tony for Fun Home, which while a wonderful show in its own right, is nowhere near the level of Caroline in terms of its music). I am very excited to teach this... trepidatious as well, since many of my students (male and female) would rather gouge out their eyes than listen to a musical, but I believe with the right balance of analysis and enthusiasm, I may have a few converts! Thanks for the input! |
