| There also isn't much of a plot to follow and engage in at all. It's basically just an unhappy maid being sour, funny and unhappy, her interactions with the young son of her bosses, her conflict with her growing daughter, and the conflict over the boss's son's $20 bill. I've never seen a musical about SO much with so little actually happening in the show. Even the big event of the statue's head being cut off is done off-stage before the show starts. It's remarkable, and part of why I admire it so much. |
