| She originated the role and I always saw her when I read it... I would have loved to have seen that. | |

| I saw the original production with Katherine Helmond and Anne Meara at the Truck and Warehouse Theatre now the New York Theatre Workshop space. They were both absolutely brilliant as was the entire company. Helmond 's performance was extremely touching and Meara was hilarious as Bunny. | |

| I saw the original and agree with Castro. It was a wonderful show -- both touching and very funny. I had out-of-town guests visiting and was looking for something to do on a cold winter night. I think it was a Sunday and there wasn't much else available. We were waiting in the lobby of the theater, still trying to get warm, when Carol Channing walked in with her husband. Soon after Michael Douglas appeared with his then squeeze, Brenda Vaccaro. Finally, Joan Rivers and her husband walked in. She was looking quite glamorous! We could hear Rivers' distinctive laugh all through the show. My guests loved the show and were equally impressed with the celebrity turnout in this small out-of-the-way theater. So was I! :) Gustave | |

| Funny, because Baranski seemed to be channeling Joan Rivers when I saw her as Bunny! | |
