| She has mentioned that before and she never identifies the film. I have no idea, of course, but I have always assumed it was Body Heat. | |

| Kathleen Turner put such an indelible stamp on that role and her performance drove that whole film in such a way that I have difficulty imagining any other actress in that part. But, of course, Turner was relatively unknown at the time (had she done much other than the soap she'd been on?) and Peters, at least, had a film and Broadway resume, so perhaps she was on the short list for the role. She was broadly the right type, I suppose. | |
