I love Bernadette, but because she can be a bit guarded -- which she's perfectly entitled to be -- I find that a lot of her interviews are pleasant, but not terribly interesting. Getting the same 5 questions probably doesn't help either ("tell us about animals", "tell us about Mary Tyler Moore and Carol Burnett", "so, you like singing Sondheim, eh?")
But the writer at Vulture asked her some genuinely interesting questions which made for a pretty compelling interview. I'd love to hear him do a live one-on-one interview with her. |
