I wonder how much of a demand there is for this show. Huey Lewis and the News had their heyday, but I don't get the sense there's much interest in them nowadays. Their Greatest Hits album, released 10 years ago, hasn't gone platinum.

Huey Lewis and the News were the after-dinner entertainment at a trade show I attended for work at the Hershey Lodge in Pennsylvania in 1995. I cannot fathom a musical of their work being successful at this point.

How about a musical of ''Back to the Future'' that shoehorns Huey Lewis' songs? After all, that's where ''The Power of Love'' comes from ...

I'm just glad this isn't about Huey Lewis starring in a Broadway revival of ''The News,'' a 1985 flop musical that starred Jeff Conaway.

Back then, I HAD to see it because it was set at a tabloid and I was working at The Daily News (no connection to the show).

Anyone else catch it? You had to be quick. It ran for only 22 previews and 4 performances (yet still got Tony-nominated for Best Score!).
