But I'm baffled that ''Hey, Look Me Over!'' could do a segment on ''Mack & Mabel'' without its best-known song, ''I Won't Send Roses.''

Is it? I tend to think "Time Heals Everything" might be better known.

I tend to think it's ''I Won't Send Roses,'' if only for Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean's legendary ice-skating duet.

Torvill and Dean were Olympic champions who must've introduced that song to audiences all over, in person and on TV.

Wikipedia says their Olympic performances were seen by a British TV audience of more than 24 million.

Anyway, if I were showcasing 2 songs from ''Mack & Mabel,'' it'd be ''I Won't Send Roses'' and ''Time Heals Everything.''

Not the ones they chose for Encores!: ''Movies Were Movies'' and ''Look What Happened to Mabel.''

Wayman, I couldn't agree with you more.

I was there last night, and found the show to be a relatively entertaining night, with a few sections that dragged a bit. But I felt that it was worth the investment of both time and money.

I haven't read through the entire thread, but is the "surprise" at the end still a surprise?
