Boston - (very) sad news
Posted by: bearcat 05:55 pm EST 02/09/18

I read in the Boston Globe earlier this week an obit for Larry Coen, who was such a presence in Boston area theater, as actor, director, and grass roots theatre educator. His performances were something special at the Lyric and Speakeasy et al. My sympathy to all who worked closely with him to bring such vibrancy to the Boston theatre. 59 years old,- a loss, and so very sad who value our creative community

Yes. Larry was a wonderful person and a great part of our Boston theatre community. I had the pleasure of working with him, and of course in seeing him in a variety of roles (his Lyric Stage performance in Dirty Blonde being a favorite memory). Still can't quite grasp the fact that he has left us.
