| They are following the exact same path taken by BEAUTY QUEEN .... and that didn't go too badly. Oddly, and rather wonderfully, MM is now amongst the VERY few playwrights who actually has a scintilla of name recognition to the general public -- in the UK he has a lot and is a star all by himself (as is Jez Butterworth) but I suspect even on Broadway his name counts for something and the timing of 3 BILLBOARDS represents catnip to the (very nervous, or at least they were) producers. |
