| I am having so much fun watching and reading about Charlie Stemp. (He is getting a lot of brilliant press in the U.K. about coming to Broadway) It really feels like we are watching the birth of a star. His talent is overwhelming and you cannot take your eyes off him in ‘Hello!’ I think he has a bright future and cannot wait to see what he does next. |

| He would not be expected to audition. Why is that? (Not snarking -- genuine question since he's an almost entirely unknown commodity in the States). |

| He was nominated for best actor in a musical Olivier award, among others. While not known here, he is certainly not unknown to the casting directors and/or the producers and creative team, and his pedigree would make an "audition" unexpected (and in many cases turned down by an agent). Typically there would be a "meeting" but not a performance. I would compare it to Jonathan Groff in reverse, or similar to Gavin Creel. | |
