I saw it a few weeks ago -with its third cast- and I would say there isn't the star part that stands out the way Rooster Byron does in JERUSALEM. I cannot remember the name of the actor who played the father of the very large family- it was Paddy Considine originally- but he was good, just not dominant over his castmates.
The performances that stayed with me the most were Sîan Thomas as Aunt Pat and the actress playing her sister Aunt Meg Far Away.
Apologies if I am getting names mixed up.
I'm surprised it's getting a transfer. I thought it would be too big a cast for Broadway. Unless they have a major name playing the father? I worry that any names would overbalance the play itself, which is more of a slow burn than JERUSALEM. |
