Jan was a neighbor......and I always respected her privacy. When she "retired" 2 years ago I had been tempted to ask her why but I didn't. I have always loved her work and knew she was a private person.
Several years ago I was assistant to the Producer on a the workshop of FEMME FATALE.....Some of the finest work I've ever seen from a truly STAR cast. Jan's work was particularly difficult and she was quietly amazing
I will miss seeing her in the neighborhood and just saying Hi in passing....she was always kind and soft spoken with me.
Broadway has lost a GREAT talent way to young!
I am truly sad at this loss.
Condolences to her family.
