Watching the Follies screening yesterday, I had never, in 40 some years of listening to "I'm Still Here",connected the song with Judy Garland ,until yesterday,s performance(and lighting)....Also, with "One More Kiss", Just as the older operetta star was about to step into the spotlight, I recognized her as Josephine Barstow. I gather she's a well known UK opera star, but I knew her from the London Decca recording of STREET SCENE(Weill Hughes Rice)She played Mrs Maurrant....She also replaced Teresa Stratas in John McGlinn's recording of KISS ME KATE. I suppose all the posts have been made, I only add I thought Imelda Staunton was wonderful, and as in the DVD of her GYPSY, I still don't like it when the camera movement takes you from a front row Orch. seat up to first row of the 2nd balcony.Last comment about an eerie phenomenon, there were times you could not tell if laughs were coming from the theater audience or the movie audience.
