Hanks will be joined by his wife, Rita Wilson, directed by Tony winner Daniel Sullivan (''Proof''), at the Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles.

By the way, as a young actor, Hanks spent three years at the Great Lakes Theater Festival in Cleveland, Ohio, onstage and behind the stage.

Hanks won the Cleveland Critics Circle Award for Best Actor for playing Proteus in Shakespeare's ''The Two Gentlemen of Verona'' (1978).
