| What a fun night! Almost all of the entire original principal cast was there as well as a lot of the ensemble and more than half the original orchestra. The audience loved it, starting with a roaring standing ovation when Sutton Foster came on stage. The original ensemble did Forget About The Boy which also received a standing ovation. The cast seemed to be having a great time, applauding each number and a little extra mugging along the way. Definitely worth being out on a school night. |

| But the truly important question--was it early enough for you to get the subway to Queens? | |

| heh. The train showed up as soon as I got to the track. I didn't even have a chance to grab a snack at the newspaper stand. The unforunate part is that I was invited to the afterparty, but I'm too old to stay out and still make it to work by 6:30. |

| Also a standing ovation for Gimme Gimme! It was a marvelous evening. Fun to see then-unknown ensemble members Kate Baldwin and Casey Nicholaw, and so many others who went on to have many Broadway credits. | |

| I can only echo what others have said. It was a joyous, glorious event, proving to be deliriously entertaining. Sutton and Gavin were spectacular, but, really, all the cast members were wonderful and multiple numbers and performers stopped the show. Most of the dance numbers were performed as they had been in the original. No one would ever claim MILLIE was a masterpiece, but I had forgotten how funny much of it was, and the closing scenes were truly satisfying. Harriet Harris has always been a favorite of mine, and she showed her comic genius again last night. Mark Kudisch, the glamorous Sheryl Lee Ralph (DREAMGIRLS' original Deena), Anne Nathan, Francis Jue, Darren Lee, Megan McGinnis, and the full ensemble were superb. The audience was wildly enthusiastic and energized, adding to the electricity of the event. The performers, as has been noted, were having a blast and relishing everything about the performance. It was a memorable night and I was thrilled to be able to attend. | |

| One more point for those interested: there is a video on Broadway World featuring post show interviews and comments from most of the principles which is well worth watching. | |
