I was one of the Producers three years back and found an actor who wrote a play about American Soldiers. I produced his play with him in it at a Mid-Hudson Valley Theatre. The actor got the fee he asked for, the theatre made a bit of money and, more importantly, we publicized the presentation to a veterans group and were able to donate almost $500 to that group.
It was the actor's presentation before the speed date panel that convinced me to produce his work. |
