I was surprised that Radar123 would vent about TRU's leader who is clearly making constant efforts to help TRU thrive. Any nonprofit group ultimately operates through group decision making, and he and his board have felt the speed dates are worthwhile. I'm glad to read many positive comments on this thread about the speed date. Although TRU is ultimately an organization supporting producers, there are many ways it helps writers, especially the TRU Beginnings Workshops on How to Write a Musical That Works, which I recommend to anyone working on a musical. |
