Maybe I'm being naive or optimistic, but, based on recent trends, I don't think they are going to let the passing of a five-time Tony nominee who dedicated her professional life to the theater go unrecognized. It would be really terrible if she was not given that recognition.
John McMartin, another 5-time Tony nominee, passed away on July 6, 2016, and I don't think it was until July 11 that his dimming of the lights was announced, which took place on July 13. So I am hoping that they just haven't announced it yet. |
