I'd heard Will Swenson was terrific in this, but tonight, alas, his understudy went on. And by midway through the first act, I didn't care. Brandon Espinosa was terrific, as was the rest of the cast. I really loved this, and I didn't think I'd love any production as much as the original at the National.
I hope this moves to the Broadway house it deserves. |
